The War Museum in Ottawa

On  November 18th I decided to visit the War Museum afer school beacuse it was the only museum in Ottawa which opened on a Monday.

The most impressive part of the museum is the building. When you see it you feel as if it's crooked, not straight. The architect who designed the building wanted people to feel the uneasiness of war.

There are also pictures of all the wars Canada was involved in from its origins, the Europeans against the Indigenous people, to the first and second world wars.

Canada participated in the First World War because it belonged to the United Kingdom and therefore had to help out in its wars.

Some Canadian veterans say one Canadian soldier was more valuable than four British soldiers because their military training was better.

Second World War

Another beautiful part of the museum is the window from which we can see the Peace Tower in Parliament hill not far from the museum. Indeed the work of a genius who wanted the Peace Tower to be seen from the War Museum to represent 'a hope for the future'.
